Odyssey Solaris Tele Fat Bridge SC
The Odyssey Solaris Tele Fat Bridge SC is an enhanced-output single-coil guitar pickup designed to deliver a thicker, more robust Telecaster bridge tone without losing the characteristic chime and snap. Hand-wound in the USA with 7,100 turns of 42?AWG enamel-coated copper wire around Alnico?V magnets, it achieves an impedance of approximately 7.3?K?—providing extra midrange warmth and low-end body. This guitar pickup is tailored for players who crave the classic Tele drive but desire added fullness for beefy rhythm work and singing lead passages.
Construction & Materials
Each Solaris Tele Fat Bridge SC is meticulously hand-wired in small batches in the USA. The Alnico?V magnets are individually calibrated to ensure balanced pole-piece output and rich harmonic content. Enamel-coated copper wire ensures low internal losses and excellent transient response. The bobbins are molded from high-strength thermoplastic for resonance optimization, while the nickel-plated brass baseplate offers superior shielding against interference. A complete wax-potting process secures the coils, virtually eliminating microphonic feedback and enhancing durability in all performance settings.
Tonal Character
Building on the classic Tele bridge sound, the Solaris Fat Bridge SC offers a beefed-up midrange bump and tighter low end that imparts a robust, punchy character. On clean amplifier settings, chords resonate with warm body and crisp attack, and single-note lines sustain with smooth, vocal-like warmth. When driven, the pickup yields a rich breakup that combines the familiar Tele snap with a thick, creamy overdrive—perfect for blues-rock riffs, funk comping with depth, and searing leads that demand presence.
Installation & Compatibility
The Odyssey Solaris Tele Fat Bridge SC is designed for drop-in compatibility with standard Telecaster bridge cavities. Included are long lead wires and mounting screws for easy installation, and the nickel-plated brass baseplate ensures robust grounding. Its two-conductor wiring supports quick integration into existing Telecaster electronics, while optional coil-split modifications can further expand tonal options.
