Description

Odyssey Radiance Strat Middle SC

The Odyssey Radiance Strat Middle SC is a hand-wound single-coil guitar pickup designed specifically for the middle position on Strat-style instruments, delivering a bright, articulate tone with minimal hum. Crafted in the USA with 7,200 turns of 42?AWG enamel-coated copper wire around Alnico?V magnets, it produces approximately 7.0?K? impedance—offering a slightly hotter output than vintage middle pickups for increased presence and clarity in mixed pickup positions.

Construction & Materials

Each Radiance Strat Middle SC is assembled in the USA under precision coil winding controls to ensure uniform impedance and tonal consistency. The Alnico?V magnets are magnetized to exacting standards, providing balanced string response and harmonic richness. The enamel-coated copper wire minimizes eddy currents for accurate transient response, while the bobbins are injection-molded from high-quality thermoplastic for resonance and

Odyssey Radiance Strat Bridge SC

The Odyssey Radiance Strat Bridge SC is a purpose-built single-coil guitar pickup engineered to deliver a powerful, articulate voice in the bridge position of Strat-style instruments. Hand-wound in the USA with 7,400 turns of 42?AWG enamel-coated copper wire around precision-calibrated Alnico?V magnet pole pieces, it achieves an impedance of approximately 7.5?K?—providing increased output, enhanced note attack, and robust low-end presence compared to neck and middle pickups. Designed to excel under both clean and overdriven conditions, the Radiance Bridge SC brings sizzling highs, tight mids, and a focused low end, making it ideal for cutting through dense mixes and delivering lead lines and chunky rhythms with authority.

Construction & Materials

Every Radiance Strat Bridge SC is meticulously hand-wound in small batches in the USA, ensuring exacting coil tension and winding consistency. The Alnico?V magnet bar is individually magnetized to precise gauss levels, offering a strong, musical pull that enriches harmonic complexity. Enamel-coated copper wire reduces eddy-current losses, preserving transient detail and dynamic nuance. The bobbin assembly is molded from high-grade thermoplastic for optimal resonance and thermal stability, while the nickel-plated steel baseplate provides robust shielding against electromagnetic interference. A comprehensive wax-potting process locks down the coil assembly, virtually eliminating microphonic feedback even at high gain.

Tonal Character

Inspired by premium Strat bridge pickups, the Odyssey Radiance Bridge SC delivers a bright, biting top end balanced by a sturdy midrange punch and tight low-end thrust. On clean amplifier settings, single-note lines shimmer with glass-like clarity, and chords resonate with focused definition that avoids muddiness. When pushed into overdrive or distortion, the pickup’s higher winding count translates into a creamy yet articulate breakup, ensuring that lead passages sustain with rich harmonic overtones while rhythm riffs roar with aggressive bite.

Installation & Compatibility

The Odyssey Radiance Strat Bridge SC is designed for a direct drop-in replacement into any standard Strat bridge route. It includes long lead wires and mounting screws for effortless installation, and the nickel-plated steel baseplate ensures solid grounding. Standard two-conductor hookup makes wiring straightforward, and optional wax-pot removal allows players to fine-tune the high-end sparkle by exposing the coils.
