Odyssey Eclipse Jazzmaster Bridge SC
The Odyssey Eclipse Jazzmaster Bridge SC is a high-output single-coil guitar pickup engineered to bring the bright, cutting edge of classic Jazzmaster bridge tones to modern instruments. Hand-wound in the USA with 7,800 turns of 42?AWG enamel-coated copper wire on Alnico?V magnets, it achieves an impedance of approximately 8.5?K?—providing robust output, crisp articulation, and a dynamic tonal range. Whether delivering jangly clean rhythms, biting rock riffs, or textured lead lines, this guitar pickup offers the sonic versatility and clarity demanded by contemporary players.
Construction & Materials
Each Eclipse Jazzmaster Bridge SC is meticulously hand-wound in small batches in the USA, ensuring exacting coil tension and winding precision. The Alnico?V magnet bar is individually magnetized to achieve balanced pole-piece strengths, accentuating harmonic overtones while preserving a tight low end. Enamel-coated copper wire enhances transient fidelity, and the thermoplastic bobbins deliver resonance and structural stability. Nickel-plated steel baseplates provide comprehensive shielding against electromagnetic interference, and the wax-potting process secures the coil assembly to prevent microphonic feedback—even under high-gain scenarios.
Tonal Character
Echoing the classic Jazzmaster bridge pickup voice, the Odyssey Eclipse Bridge SC offers a bright, glassy high end with pronounced midrange presence and a firm low-end foundation. On clean amplifier settings, strummed chords sparkle with clarity and openness, while single-note passages sing with a razor-sharp attack. When driven, the pickup provides a tight, focused breakup that retains note separation and dynamic punch—ideal for surf rock tones, indie textures, and aggressive rock leads. Its enhanced output compared to neck pickups ensures that it cuts through dense mixes without requiring excessive amp gain.
Installation & Compatibility
The Odyssey Eclipse Jazzmaster Bridge SC is designed for direct drop-in compatibility with standard Jazzmaster bridge routings. It comes with long lead wires and mounting hardware for easy installation, and the nickel-plated steel baseplate ensures solid grounding.
