Frequently asked questions
How do I know if I need fretwork or just a setup?
If buzz persists after a proper setup, or specific frets buzz while others don't, the frets are uneven. We check fret height as part of every setup and will tell you which you actually need.
How much fret is left to work with?
Most guitars can be leveled two or three times before needing a refret. We measure remaining height first and won't level frets that are too worn — we'll quote a refret instead.
Do you work on stainless steel frets?
Yes, including leveling and polishing stainless, and we install stainless in refrets for players who want frets that outlast the instrument.
