Description

Allparts Select Tribute Series

Allparts “Select” guitar and bass necks represent the very best we have to offer in terms of quality, player-centric features, wood grades, and high-end appointments.  Our Select “Tribute” models pay homage to legendary artists by pairing their preferred specs with upgraded roasted maple options for a truly unique playing experience.  Produced in extremely limited batches and individually graded and inspected, Allparts Select Tribute necks are inspired by legends and available to you!

Model Overview

Regarded as one of the most proficient bassists in the history of rock n roll, Geddy Lee’s progressive playing style elevated the role of bass player from support-role to co-lead.  Often seen playing a Rickenbacker 4001 and a ’72 Fender® Jazz Bass® (both outfitted with Leo Quan Badass bridges), Geddy’s aggressive tone and awe-inspiring performance capabilities forever raised the bar.  Our “Tom Sawyer” neck pays homage to Geddy’s remarkable bass playing by combining many of his preferred specs into one highly playable, artist-inspired replacement neck.

Why Roasted?

Roasting the wood enhances stability by reducing the moisture content down to around 7%.  The result is a more-resonant neck that’s stronger and less susceptible to changing weather conditions.

Features

  • Bound fretboard and block inlays inspired by Geddy’s ’72 Jazz Bass
  • Custom Thin-C profile modeled after Geddy’s preferred spec
  • Compound 7.25”-10” radius offers a comfortable feel and allows for lower string height.
  • Glossy Nitro finish for an elegant and classic look

Important Notes

  • Statements relating to artists are intended only for reference and do not imply endorsement, association or use of this product.
  • Wood grain varies from neck to neck.  Your neck may differ slightly from what is pictured.
  • All necks have a limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
  • All necks may require fret leveling and polish.  This is normal and not a defect.
  • To protect against the effects of moisture, we recommend sealing unfinished necks prior to installation.
  • Due do the lack of moisture in roasted maple, the risk for cracking is more apparent.  When drilling holes for screws, we recommend measuring inside and outside of the threads first to determine the correct drill bit to use.  Do not force screws into holes drilled with smaller drill bits.
